Estate Planning and Administration
Magiros Blattner understands that making end-of-life plans is not always easy. Yet, estate planning is necessary to protect one's property, interests and loved ones in the event of incapacity or death. The Family Wealth Planning Session is a real working meeting where you are going to learn specifically what would happen to your family and your assets when something happens to you based on your current plan (or the state's plan for you) and if you determine that there are things about the status quo you wouldn't like, you'll be able to design a plan that would make sure what you want to happen will happen. This meeting is educational and we will also design your estate plan in this meeting if you decide to hire us.
The purpose of this meeting is to get you more financially organized than you have ever been before, ensure none of your assets end up in the State Department of Unclaimed Property (there's over $2 billion there right now often because family members can't find assets when someone dies or becomes incapacitated), and look at all of your family dynamics, and assets, and educate you on the law, so you can choose the planning that is right for you and the people you love.
The key here is you are making informed decisions, not based on a one size fits all solution, but based on the specifics of your family, your assets, and what you care about most. And, whether you plan with us or not, you will have your financial life organized and have clarity that you likely do not have right now.
We are also here for your family when you become incapacitated or die and can assist them either through the probate process or trust administration.
